Hey, homemaker friend, Celeste here. I hope you’re having a great day. I thoroughly enjoy helping you get on your journey to happiness and sometimes that requires me sharing products I use on a consistent basis. Don’t worry, I will never share anything that I don’t think will benefit you in some way. All the products I share will be ones I’ve already purchased and used or have done enough research on and will purchase in the near future.
So let’s skip to the good part, shall we?
Why should you purchase the InstaPot Max?
Having an InstaPost Max is really helpful for the days you’re needing to have dinner made in a snap. With how busy our lives are, sometimes we don’t plan our meals in advance and just need to quickly throw something together. With an InstaPot Max, you can literally do just that. Not kidding! Just throw in ingredients, put the lid on, choose the settings and have dinner ready within 25 minutes or so. My favorite in-a-pinch meal is my chicken and rice dish.
Disclaimer, this is my first ever InstaPot product so I don't have any experience with previous versions. I’ve only had it for 1 year (at the time of this blog post), but I LOVE IT! The features alone make it worth it. I enjoy not having to mess with a knob when it’s time to release the pressure, I can delay the cooking process, and keep food warm….it’s literally a set it, and forget it system. I don’t have time to babysit a machine and neither do you. We are too busy for that.
Here are a few differences between the Instapot Max and a few other versions so you can make a well-informed decision
Honestly, I purchased this pressure cooker for the main purpose of canning my homegrown and homemade foods. I knew at some point I would cook in it, but I didn’t think it would be as often as I do now. Truth be told, I never even canned in it, I solely use it to make dinner on the fly, make broth/stock, and even for my slow cooking meals. However, I know it’s a bit confusing to decide on which InstaPot to get because there are so many, so below is a chart detailing the specs from other popular lines.

I wholeheartedly will vouch for the Max because….well...I personally use it. I haven’t found it too hard to use. In the beginning, I was a little intimidated…only because it’s my first ever InstaPot and I wanted to get it right! But check out the chart and decide which one you like best!
What have I noticed about the InstaPot Max?
I have noticed that with my InstaPot Max that when I use it as a crockpot I can open the lid, but when I close it back it pressurizes and the red light gets activated. During this time, I am not able to open the lid. I’m not sure why that happens because I purely selected the crockpot feature. But it doesn’t bother me enough to complain. I just thought I should mention it.
I also have to mention that I didn’t realize how much I appreciated a detachable plug. It makes for much easier storage and a neater look if stored on the counter. However, be sure to have a designated place for the cord so you don’t lose it I simply store my cord in a drawer that houses other cords.
Who would this product be great for?
Personally, I believe everyone should have this appliance in their kitchen. It makes for really quick and easy meals. If I had to choose a group of people this would be perfect for, I would say a busy homemaker who does more than just homemaking. If you’re a busy homeschooling mom that’s not always organized, usually overwhelmed, and thinks about dinner an hour before dinner, this would be PERFECT to have at your disposal.
What is the feature I use the most?
The pressure cooker settings. I am that homemaking mom who doesn’t have her life all the way together so….I’m constantly throwing dishes together. The second most used feature is the broth/soup feature. I love making my own stock and broth; I will NEVER go back to store-bought broth/stock. I think you’d feel the same way if you had the InstaPot Max.
In the near future, I want to start making my own yogurt in it as well so that will (hopefully) be a feature that’ll get used more often. Can't make any promises about that part, but I'm hopeful!
Conclusion
Do I think you should get an InstaPot Max if you don’t already have one? YES! A thousand and two yeses. It just makes sense. Should you upgrade to a Max if you have a previous version? In my personal opinion…if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. However, if you were already looking to upgrade for whatever reason, then the InstaPot Max is definitely worth it.
